Date:  Tuesday 3/9/10

Time:  7:00-8:30 p.m.

Location:  Providence College (Room 405 of the Feinstein Building)

Agenda:  We are trying a new format this month. We will begin with brief introductions and then we will break into subgroups to work on the various projects. (You pick the project you are most interested in, or pick more than one.)  We will then meet as a group to give updates on our projects and discuss new business.

We hope you will join us. If you haven’t attended a meeting before, we look forward to meeting you.

Next week is the last week of the season that the City will be picking up yard debris waste.  Our final pickup (Elmhurst) is next Tuesday 12/8/09…final date city-wide is Friday 12/11.  After that, all leaves and debris must go in a bag within the big green containers as trash.

According to Councilman Solomon, early reports list the 5th Ward with the highest percentage of recycling, just over 40%.  Great job everyone!

The chart below, which lists the official statistics from the City as of today, demonstrates the increase in the amount recycled city-wide since the program began.

Reminder:  write your street address on your bins as there have been some thefts lately.  Anyone needing replacement bins, please let us know:  contact@elmhurstcleanandgreen.org.
